UPPER DELAWARE SCAVENGER HUNT

Join our 2025 self-guided Scavenger Hunt and road-trip challenge. This scavenger hunt will have you exploring historical landmarks, beautiful valley views and small town charm. It is a fun and adventurous way to immerse yourself in the many pleasures of the Upper Delaware River. Every stop has its own unique story and is a reminder of why the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway is a place worth exploring, playing and preserving. You will be entertained by the history, culture and wilderness that make this a Wild and Scenic Byway.

Start your SCAVENTURE along the shores of the Upper Delaware River. Participants will enjoy a 70 mile long scavenger hunt filled with fun, history and adventure. Signing Up is completely free and open to everyone. Scavengers are supplied with a series of clues, questions and tasks that can only be completed along the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway. Upon completion participants are encouraged to submit their journey for the chance of winning various prizes.

The event runs from June 1st until August 31st with locations on, or adjacent to, the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway between Port Jervis and Hancock. Participants do not need to complete the scavenger hunt continuously and are encouraged to take their time. This is not a race, it's a fun way to discover some of the fantastic businesses that are scattered along the byway. There are 30+ total locations scattered between Port Jervis and Hancock, New York. Each location comes with a challenge in the form of a photo challenge, a multiple choice question, or a question and answer. Points are assigned upon completion and scores are stored in the app. Challenges are assigned various points which are tallied in the App.
