After years of meetings, planning and due diligence, fundraising and grant writing, and negotiations with the railroad, The Callicoon Depot is being transformed. The Callicoon Business Association has executed a long-term lease on the Depot, and is in the process of hiring an architect to turn this historic building into a community asset.

VISITORS CENTER
COMING SOON

The Upper Delaware Scenic Byway is currently working in conjunction with the Callicoon Business Association to transform a portion of the old Callicoon Train Depot into a visitors center for the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway. This facility will serve as a physical location to host meetings, events and most importantly, to welcome visitors and guests. The Callicoon Business Association is actively working with architects to prepare the drawings necessary to begin construction. The Visitors Center is envisioned as an immersive space that will not only inform visitors of the many options for shopping, dining, lodging and entertainment, but will also educate people on the history of the area as well evolution of the Scenic Byway itself. The Center will also play a large role in marketing programming and events throughout the year.
